The Rain Bird Manifold, type RB1201 is used with female valves. These manifold systems are ideal for installing in the valve box where space is limited.
The PVC Manifold system RB1300 series has male connectors and therefore should be used with female valves. The manifold system RB1300 has been specially design with a telescoping system, with big o-rings in order to allow valve exchange without any additional work and without using Teflon tape for the assembly.
